On November 22nd, 2021, the Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) Limited, Koalisi Nasional Pengembangan Anak Usia Dini Holistic Integrative (ECD-HI National Coalition) and Ninos Education and Development (NINOS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). ARNEC was represented by the Executive Director, Evelyn D. Santiago, while ECD-HI National Coalition was represented by Maria J. Adrijanti, the Coordinator of the Coalition. Furthermore, NINOS was represented by the Director, Mega Indrawati.

This Memorandum of Understanding will be in effect from November 22nd, 2021, until March 30th, 2022. In this MoU, all parties agree that collaborating and implementing cooperative activities to build national Early Childhood Development (ECD) network capacity is in their mutual interest and advantage. ECD-HI National Coalition will get assistance from ARNEC in developing capacity in areas vital to their operations. Advocacy, resource mobilization, cross-sectoral collaboration, program design, measurements, and evaluation are only a few examples of these domains.

ECD-HI National Coalition will work closely with NINOS to establish working team to undertake the activities outline and to ensure the project’s output are delivered. NINOS will act as the managing contractor and be responsible for managing the funds received from ARNEC for project implementation and documentation; including coordinating with the ECD-HI National Coalition and stakeholders. Some of the outputs of the MoU include the implementation of a series of internal workshops to strengthen the network, establishing the legal basis of the organization, advocating for the implementation of PAUD-HI which will cooperate with the relevant Ministries, conducting webinar series of ECD-HI and Nurturing Care Framework, and also developing its Information and Education Communication (IEC) products. The project is also aimed to support Government of Indonesia in promoting Rencana Aksi Nasional PAUD-HI 2021-2024 which was launched in June 2021. Therefore, the beneficiaries of the project are not only for the member of ECD-HI National Coalition, but also for local government, Bunda PAUD-HI, CSOs and practitioner of ECD HI.
